About this school

Darul Uloom Islamic Center is a mosque at 977 5th Street East on St. Paul's East Side, created when local Muslim families bought the former Church of St. John, built in 1886, and reopened it as a masjid in 2014. It holds the five daily prayers and Jumu'ah and offers Quran learning for all ages, including a children's introduction to Arabic letters and recitation, tajweed, memorization (hifz), and tafsir classes, plus Islamic studies for children, youth, and adults. Youth programs include Quran classes, mentorship workshops, community service, and an annual youth camp, and the center also provides marriage and family guidance and a community funeral fund. Class days, times, and fees are not published; families are asked to call or email for schedules.
